Genealogy and Research

The Town of Pompey Historian, Ruth Hotaling, and Museum volunteers in the Research/Genealogy Department will assist individuals interested in researching family connections to the Town of Pompey.  The William G. Pomeroy Research Center and Museum has a large and comprehensive collection of tax roles, censuses, family files, cemetery records, church records, military records and much more - for a complete list click here.
The charge for personalized research is $20 an hour but any donation is greatly appreciated.  Monies received are used to support the Pompey Historical Society and its mission.
If you would like to schedule a special opening appointment or research request our historian, Ruth Hotaling, will need to know what names and data you have, and what specific help you need.  Please be sure to include your mailing address in any correspondence.
You can reach Ruth at (315)-682-9066 or email.
