Abraham Lincoln Visits with the PHS

Impersonator brings Lincoln to Life.  Marking the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s death and the end of the Civil War, the Pompey Historical Society has invited impersonator John Baylis to bring his portrayal of the nation’s 16th President to the Pompey Town Hall. The program is on Wednesday evening, Sept. 16, at 7 p.m.  Dressed in top hat, beard, and clothes of the era, Baylis bears a striking resemblance to Lincoln — and shares important insights into his life, issues, and accomplishments.
For 30 years, Baylis, a retired teacher, has been presenting to the public and distinguished audiences of many organizations. Both PHS members and public are welcome. Light refreshments will be served. The Town Hall is on Rte. 20 at Pompey Center Rd.
